Well it;s not your money and your comfort doesn't define this, the market does.

The issue with Donald is, do you pay your best player---and one of the league's best players---what the market is saying he deserves? This is not just one of the best players in the league, this is one of the best Rams in their entire history.

Or do you dither him around for a few years, which is disrespectful, and as such is bad management. Cause the team will see it.

A few years from now 24 M for a top defender is going to look modest btw.

And the cap isn't the issue. A few years from now with the cap going up, they will be able to afford both Donald and Goff and some more core, high contract players.
