In response to the original post, you're totally right. We know nada.
What we do know is last off season AD sought a new contract and the Rams negotiated with his agent. They never signed a contract and he held out all training camp and missed the first game. He did play brilliantly after he got going. We have no idea what was offered or refused. We have no idea what the agent offered and the Rams refused. But, we know both sides would like to sign a new long term contract. It will probably get done. What should the numbers be? That's been debated here a bunch. I agree he should be paid like a superstar because he is one. I don't know if he deserves 20 mil or more.
Maybe he does. He is the reigning DPOY and we certainly won a lot of games with him being a big part of our team. He is playing in a rookie contract and his play has been an incredible bargain. Now, I think it's kind of tricky and here's why. We have Goff. We have TG30. This new CB will want to be paid like a superstar too. And there's a salary cap.
