Since Wade plays a hybrid 3-4, that is similar to a regular 4-3 at times.....does the NT have the same desired attributes in any version of a 3-4???
Namely, does the NT need to be the
"immovable/space-eatin" force of nature that we all come to understand of the NT???
or does Wade want somethin different from his NT??
I say this cuz last year I noticed Wade played/started several
undersized players
(Smart, Westbrooks, etc) at NT...and it seemed curiously against the norm.
I guess, what I'm asking is do we want a space-eater type at NT regardless of Brockers & Donald at DE???
Or does Wade want a more nimble/lighter, athletic NT that excels more at twists/stunts etc??
Were the run problems last year
due to an undersized NT at times? Or just inopportune LB missed tackles/bad fills/ bad run fits, etc
(thus Tree banished).
If you could help me understand what our defense needs so I can look for correct player types in the draft, etc...I'd be greatly indebted.
I don't know much bout the nuances of diverse defenses and am very curious as to how I need to think of Wades scheme and the players needed to make it soar.
Thots??
