but when Goof & Donald and get their contracts done it will be like having 2 starting QBs on our cap and I cannot see how the Rams will NOT look like the Seahawks roster/cap with their Legion of Boom...booming the rest of their roster and limiting their ability for depth.
I dunno, I'm not even counting TGII and his contract coming up...the Rams will get top-heavy very soon. imo
But as zn has said, 8-10 players take up %50 of the cap is the standard...I wonder if it will 6-7 players for the Rams...which would probably matter, I would think. I think that drafting cheap labor and finding ways to simplify schemes so that they can play earlier and earlier in their careers is where this is going....there's gonna be a ceiling with regards to the cap...the cap cannot keep goin up tho ratings go down...and sooner or later the cap will start goin back a bit or staying the same...while the players will used to getting 30m to play QB and 25m to play DE/DT(Donald types).
...I dunno, but there seems little incentive for players to EVER sign extensions and NOT try FA. I don't know what that'll mean but perhaps it's moot as there will be a huge strike after this CBA is up and the next one is negotiated.
