ok..what is gaines likely to net? a sixth? you can add it into the equation but the difference is likely to be negligible imo

The 2019 pick isn't guaranteed. That depends on if the Rams sign any free agents themselves.
You say that Gaines would have been gone this year but don't factor in the comp. pick he would have gotten them. Wouldn't the 2019 3rd round Gaines comp. pick cancel out the comp. pick from Watkins?
