Not enough targets to our All World Watkins.

Strawman: an intentionally misrepresented proposition that is set up because it is easier to defeat than an opponent's real argument.
It is amazing that no one can refute the review of film, so rather, they refer to stats or other nonsense. Here, the nonsense is the "All-World" strawman who no one, NO ONE, has ever suggested.
If you cannot defeat the argument, change the subject with a strawman or a red herring.
Red Herring: something, especially a clue, that is or is intended to be misleading or distracting.
"It is truly amazing how stupid and incompetent both McVay and Goff were all last year"
Part strawman, but no one has ever suggested that McVay and Goff were "stupid" or "incompetent".
I know folks will claim this is just a joke, meant to be funny, but it wasn't that, it was simply a defense of not paying Watkins because he didn't have the numbers.
However, those who watch the film can think Goff is good and McVay is great and still see that Goff missed Watkins quite a lot. Both things can be true, that Goff is good and he missed Watkins too much. After all, this time showing what occurs people still will run to the stat line and try and judge players. Either they are unwilling or unable to even CONSIDER things happening on the field and revert to his "numbers" even though the MOST IMPORTANT NUMBER is 8 touchdowns. The things that win games, points.
And now, to try and hang the Falcons game on Watkins in a not-too-suble dig. Bottom line is Rams got butts pushed around. Goff was 24/45. McVay called on 16 running plays, turnovers, not stopping the run. So yeah, Watkins did drop 2 passes. So what? No sign the best receiver Rams have had since Ike and Torry over that?
stupid and incompetent I guess.
