first, I'll be the first to admit that Carson Wentz is the real deal. he was remarkable
the guy has superb running skills, too
one of our mains noted that those wheels may not be same for some time. may be true. though Bradford's wheels were outstanding as a rookie, but then tweaked an ankle, and never seemed to be quite the same.
I digress
I always have thought that Alec is mis-cast to work the middle. He's done pretty darn well, but to expect him to be an impact MLB or something to the effect down in and out is tough. Playing inside makes him responsible for filling everything, and setting the defense, and he gets the wild card on blitzing. Sometimes yes and sometimes no with that issue.
I don't see any reason to believe that they'll help Alec in the draft with an actual pick. They could pick up some free agent, or even better get Les Snead to come up with superb talent through street free agency after the draft.
The corners are another deal. It can be love / hate.
In hindsight, last year's cornerback draft may go down as one of the all time best, maybe flat out best.
This year doesn't look all so great for getting help
But overall last year was good enough at the corner spots. It's possible the Rams may go after the Denver CB.
I like Tye Hill, but he is woeful thin to my eye. And has been a bit lucky with some coverages.
Tend not to remember flags, too often. But the flag on Trumaine for mouthing off in the one game was harsh. Add in the Robert Woods flag for the same sort of conduct, and those might be the difference maker in a game.
We all sort of know that the Trumaine spot is going to be one of the key spots for 2018.
Can Les and Wade figure it out? Do they really rely on a rookie?
