1) Sign Bowman to replace Barron. Bowman is such a pro. Not nearly as fast, but a strong, instinctive run-stop presence in the middle. He's only 30.
2) Sign Ngata to a 1 year deal and try to draft a future NT. Old guy (34) but he's healthy and darn near impossible to move.
3) Trade for Talib (up to a 5th round pick) and replace TruJ. Going to save big dollars to do that. And clearly Talib is a known quantity for Wade, and Talib knows the D. Pair him with Hill as the other CB. Unless there is a problem we don't know about, I would think Talib would be a SoCal type guy and love to play for Wade again.
On the O side, sign Jimmy Graham to pair with Higbee and use Everett as the 3rd TE/4th WR. Graham is a Red Zone nightmare and Higbee really got better in his blocking as the year progressed plus is a legitimate enough receiving TE to have to be properly covered by the opposing D. Everett is a wild card kind of guy who has WR skills and can also line up on the LOS.
Go after Martavius Bryant and let Watkins go. Bryant is also difficult to deal with in the Read Zone and very fast and tall. Bryant can be had for probably 60% of the money Watkins would cost and serve the same function. Woods and Kupp and Graham (if here) and Gurley are going to catch the majority of Goff's passes. Watkins is almost for sure too costly to be a deep decoy and catch 50 passes and have 750 yards.
