The fact that Patriots are in many of those, is not a good analysis because they win with Brady and Belicheck and I could start at receiver on those teams
but look at
both teams in the Superbowl.....
there were some games that could have gone either way.....let's face it, Falcons choked last year and they should have won
defense blew it
I don't think Flacco is elite, or Ryan or Kapernick......they all were close to winning (very) or won...Newton not elite, Manning wasn't elite when Denver won
if you go back a little earlier, Brad Johnson won, Dilfer, Delahome, Grossman,.....before that Doug Williams....you get the picture
of course a great QB is going to improve your chance, but so will a great RB....Franco Harris, Emmitt Smith, Marshall Faulk, Tony Dorsett, Bettis, etc.
or a great defense....ask the 85 Bears or 200 Ravens
