And you are talking about a time in the NFL that has nothing to do with today's NFL. You cannot seriously compare assembling a team in the 1980's to today.
I believe McVay and Philips are not stupid enough to do such a thing. They have some good young CBs...but size matters in this league and we have one...Johnson. Sign him or sign the equivalent or better. Either way, it costs money.
