Nate Solder is a pretty mediocre LT. The Patriots are doubtful to re-sign him for a reason. And certainly not worth $10M in my opinion.
I'm all for trying to improve OT depth at minimum and possibly find a 2019 heir for Whitworth at best but not with big FA dollars.
I agree with letting Austin and Quinn go and retaining Watkins.
I'm not sure how that $16M number covers all 10 of those guys. I'd definitely like most of them back but Joyner is not going to be cheap, Longacre probably requires a 2nd round RFA tender (over $2M), Sullivan deserves $2M+, etc. I'm curious if they have interest in bringing back Easley. Given his knee issues I would guess it would be on a pretty modest one-year deal.
