The first clip... we have seen that one this season before... i have no idea why he doesn't go get that thing
I dont know why it is on this board but people like to take sides
But the truth is Goff often just didn’t look for Watkins. However many times when he did Watkins gave the kind of effort we saw in that first clip if not worse. The Rams need a score.... go get that damn ball!!!! Other times he just looked like he was lost
Maybe its a chemistry thing between them but IMO anyone who is not biased can see that they both (Goff/Watkins) are to blame.
The fact that McVay didn't make the man a bigger part of the offense when he took heat for his usage is also telling. There is something about Watkins that McVay didn't trust either.
In my mind I think he's like when we get tired playing basketball. We are not inclined to contort our body on a rebound that goes silly. The great rebounders are the ones that have heart. Sammy doesn't seem to make adjustments on an individual play. When things break down in the pocket. When a ball isn't thrown in stride. It seems like going backwards isn't in his agenda.
All of us would love him to be an all pro. It takes a ton for him to be polorizing for a fan base desperate for a flashy wr. He did so. Not only us, but He also seemed to not be in favor of McVay and Goff. That cleans up our doubt.
