Nice
Probably right
Now, I could be wrong, but the kid T. Hemmingway was a real component to Sean's summer.
Once removed by injury, he was the forgotten player
And, he may never be the factor I thought I was seeing in Sean's offense, but I have not written him off. I should add that I thought Hemmingway was on the short string to be cut, and was very surprised when Sean was using more than his second round rookie during exhibition work.
Whether that plays out or not is something I'll keep an eye out for. Hemmingway was in 2 tight end sets, has a big wingspan, and certainly was showing up as a willing blocker.
But, I tend to agree that a higher priced free agent TE may not be in the works. And that's a sea change for me as earlier in the season I thought that they may draft another and buy one as well in 2018
As a free agent and draft "object of desire" for the offense I see offensive linemen, and another RB. Concerns about the longevity of our Center, Left Guard, and Left Tackle increases naturally, but the less than stellar work by the depth crew last Sunday makes me jittery for 2018.
Not to say I don't think that there aren't a group of tight ends to be had in the draft. But as a swap for Watkins, I am not seeing the Seattle TE.
