How can that theory be off? That is exactly what happened with Faulk. He actually had one season where it was similar to Gurley's
He averaged 3.0 ypc over 13 games and had just 587 yards. His yards per carry those seasons with the Colts, (4.1, 3.7, 3.0, 4.0, 4.1)
than with Martz (5.5, 5.4, 5.3)

On Gurley, the same thing, in that 2015 season, those last 9 games were consistent with 2016 with only 1 game over 100 yards and an average of almost a yard less per carry.
These are events of factual results. Martz and McVay know how to put the runningback in space to make plays. The ability to use a talented player makes all the difference in the world and we were blessed two times now with offensive coaches that know how to utilize talent.
