There's something different about this team. It has a sense of competency and steadiness. No trick plays in order to get a win. No "luck" involved or catching a team when their best player (s) are out. They play solid and they play mostly disciplined.

This is a great point to keep in mind. Every year, some teams get hot and steal some games that aren't clearly supported by capability. The Rams did that early in their 1st year in StL. They won a bunch of games early on huge plays and then faded into oblivion.

That's not what the Rams are doing. Yes, some of their winning point totals include points scored by the defense or STs. But it hasn't been as if we were being outclassed but bailed out by jackpot plays. In each game, all 3 units have showed themselves to be very capable and we have won most games decisively.

If anything, one could imagine a few more breaks going our way in games. We are playing as a genuine quality team, not a team hoping for flukes.

I don't see us fading away. We're not going to win all these games against good teams. But we will probably compete well in just about all of them and win our share.
