Snead has done a great job. Look at the collection of talent we have acquired on this roster. That is what a GM does he uses the draft, trades and free agency to build a roster and ours is chock full of talent and is young to boot.
He also led the search for a coach and got a great one. It may have seemed like a no brainer now but McVay was 30 and nobody hires a coach that young but he took a risk.
You don't evaluate on misses on the draft but on hits. Donald, Gurley, Goff, Jenkins, Johnson, Kupp, Everret, Tree, Brockers and more. He has some home runs.
He has also made some really good trades: Watkins, Goff. Barron and RGIII
Free Agency not so much but Whit, Barwin and Woods are big hits this year
He did all this while serving under the boat anchor of Fisher who failed to develop talent and failed miserably on deploying an offense.
We will see how now great things as McVay and Snead will make sure they are on the same page in getting the right types of players to perform in the offensive an defensive schemes. Defensive talent will be reshaped next as we orient towards a 3/4 scheme players.
Yes McVay is a great coach but he is working with a roster full of talent and Snead gets the credit for that.
