IMO, this year is showing that your statement isn't completely accurate. Snead has done a fine job of acquiring offensive players.
Both Goff and Gurley looked terrible under Fisher. Now they look great. Snead acquired them under Fisher.
It's starting to appear that the same could be said about Havenstein and Brown. They may be fine players in a bad situation.
What's apparent to me is that the offensive players Snead did acquire were sabotaged due to bad coaching.
