No one said it came down to anything. It's just a detail. You don;'t use a decoy defenses don't fear. But so far it;s just three games. If they don't expand how they use him, then, it's clear that McVay would rather not take advantage of the things Tavon does and would prefer to just run his offense without accommodating that. Or, McVay likes the idea of using him in the 2015 mold and expands it. OR (and this is possible too) Tavon just gets injured too much for McVay. I also don't think Tavon is auditioning to stay on the team because as I see it, McVay could get a lot out of him but still not want to keep him next year.

Anyway. I don't recognize this thing about a revolutionary player and all that. Nothing I ever saw associated with him talked about him that way. Seems like a straw man. I think it was pretty obvious pretty quickly that Tavon did not have the full set of receiver skills, and therefore using him like 2015 was the way to get the most out of him.

I mean IMO it's simple. In 2015 they used him effectively (and that was not as a pure receiver). McVay might want to incorporate that or he might not
