Good answers, all three of ye.
As much as I dislike the runt as a player, I suspect that he's dumb, and doesn't work hard, I will admit that he is explosive.
But the limitations that ZN describes annoy me to no end. He can't line up and run a pass route off the LOS, he can't catch the ball, now he can't even field punts. And, lastly, the Rams are giving him a ton of cash. If he was a good punt returner AND could catch like Tyrrell Hill or DeSean Jackson, I could understand the Rams' investing in him.
Lastly, I guess people are forgetting it now, but I had several debates with people on RamsTalk when TA was drafted about his skill set. I argued that his college success would not translate to the NFL because professional defenses are more disciplined, and players are more talented. Some folks were arguing that defensive coordinators would be pulling their hair out trying to figure how to stop him. These arguments seemed to echo similar ones made when the Rams drafted Lance Kendricks several years prior.
At any rate, here we are back at square one.
