While Watkins is an elite player, when healthy, he has never shown the history of being healthy. When looking at Watkins circumstances, been injured on a bad offensive team that runs all the time, what he did was remarkable averaging 1000 yards a season for those first 2 seasons before being injured in year 3 and missing half the season. When you watch Watkins plays, the eyes don't lie either, he is dominant. And lastly, he has a toughness and competitive spirit that is incredible.
But the bottom line is Donald is a Hall of Famer. Donald has that same toughness and competitive spirit
But somebody made a good point, Donald could be traded for a flock of draft picks where Watkins doesn't have that appeal yet for other teams.
I still say keep them both and find other players to let go to stay under the salary cap. You have 2 players that are unique with there toughness and competitive spirt.
