He said you need great players to play great. He was referring to the the Thursday game and how our great players made great plays to win the game.
This also means you need to keep your great players so you must pay them accordingly.
You pay guys like Donald and Watkins, and you let lesser players go accordingly.
Paying or not paying Donald and Watkins is an easy decision. You must pay them both.
Not paying Austin is an easy decision.
Not paying TruJ is a tougher decision.
But the bottom line is you don't win the SB by not paying your great players. You pay them because you need them to make the great plays in big games that they can be counted on to make.
