Lots and lots of young quarterbacks have been beaten up.
Some never recover and get thrown away as 'busts' when, in fact, they never had a chance to get over because they were locked in hopeless situations.
Some, like Goff, apparently, get a reprieve.
Of course Goff is a second-year player, my friend.
But ... that was a rhetorical statement, my friend.
The point being, my friend, when the *only* thing he learned of value as a rookie was duck and cover ... he might as well be a rookie.
My friend.
I disagree old friend. Honest disagreement. To me, he would not be as far along as he is today if that's all he learned. I see a very green Air Raid college qb who had a lot to learn about even playing the position. As bad as any game he had last year was, it was still miles ahead of where he was the day they drafted him.
Scout's honor.
