First, I really sincerely appreciate what you are doing for the Rams and the NFL, with your investment in Los Angeles. I have a request for doing even a little bit more for the NFL. It's about this Donald business (even though others may be more to blame, I have to use Donald's name. Accountability.)
It used to be that athletes were paid far short of the "hurting-the-team" limit. Athletes started striking: Koufax and Drysdale, for instance. We are no longer short of the "hurting-the-team" limit.. We've exceeded that point by so far that nobody knows which way is up.
Did you ever have termites? You get rid of excess tree branches when you see them coming. Then you try injecting magic potions into your timbers. Finally, you just get out of the house for two nights, put a tent around the place, and fumigate.
It's time to start the fumigation.
Don't back down now. Don't back down next year. Franchise him the next year and bench him. Ditto the fourth. Four years under the tent will be a big boost to the health of the NFL.
