We couldn;t know THAT either.
We don;'t know if they're close, far apart, if the Rams are lowballing, if Donald is asking way too much, or if in fact (and this is what I personally believe) it;s a structure issue (how much guaranteed, how much front loading v. back loading etc.)
Now you may personally BELIEVE it's the way you paint it. But I know for certain you have no evidence for it. It;s just a belief.

Point is is that there is a disagreement and Donald is holding out....this is not some sort of extended vacation that the Rams are giving Donald while his agents negotiate a deal.
These talks just didn't start last week, these talks have been going on since April or earlier I'm guessing. It's seems clear that the two sides are still not seeing eye to eye and Donald is holding out.... You seem to have this idea that the Rams are perfectly fine with his extended vacation while a new coach is trying to shape this team. I highly doubt McVay is happy losing Easley for the season, becuse maybe that doesn't happen if Donald was actually here like he is supposed to be under his current contract states.
There are plenty of underpaid players in this league right now and ALL of them are in camp in good faith and helping the "we not me" get better.
