Oh heck we knew how the team felt about every single hold out and even potential hold out or snarled contract situtation. It ALWAYS got out.
Faulk in 99. Warner in 2000...when it was thought possible there might be a holdout. Carter in 2000. Pace. Fletcher--the word getting out being, he was going to cost too much. For that matter, Johnson--they arranged a trade with New Orleans that fell through and openly said they wanted to see how much of a fit he was first. Bradford would not take a contract revision.
The Rams have never been secretive about a negotiating stance.
