That guy would have taken the Browns to the play-off year after year, just an incredible player.
I can see where and why a great QB can transcend adversity, but I'm struggling to think of any truly great head coach who didn't have a great QB and that's fishy to me. As though a great QB maybe more important than a great HC.
Brady, like any QB in history, needs time to throw, players to catch, a defense that can stop the other teams offense. TEAMS win games and teams are organized by coaches
Another huge key for Brady and the Pats in general is they why they play the game.
They have this ability to play it fast when they are ahead, shortening possessions and time for their opposition.
Conversely, when they trail they stop the clock often on offense, little things like getting out of bounds which stops the clock for a few seconds till the chains are set and by then they are at the LOS ready to go again.
But most of all, they have a coach and a belief of when, no matter how early or late, to go on 4th down, to try OSK's and to get big stops and get the ball back one more time for Tom.
The above imo is the main differences between how successful Brady has been in NE and how little (relatively speaking) Rodgers has won in GB with McCarthy. IMO BB is WAY ahead of MM as a HC, especially in knowing how to play in all circumstances.
R.I.P. Nelson aka TonyHunter87 1971 - 2017 far too soon..
Your last words to me: "Your a great guy RFIP. I was very sad when you left the board, and your son, but was glad to see you back. Take care my friend, may God be by your side." 09/09/2017 12:58AM
No Nelson, you were a far better man than I, and I am sure an awesome husband and father as well. I will miss you my friend. -RFIP
