I would pay Aaron Donald TOP money and, MAKE NO MISTAKE ABOUT THIS, the Rams WILL TOO.

He IS the best defensive player in the NFL bar none.

This best defensive player stance by AD's supporters has some merit but I don't buy the "bar none" part.

I personally think AD is a Top 2 DT in the league but not the #1 ranked defensive player in the NFL.

Nobody on this board or any NFL sites has produced any solid evidence of how he's taken over several games and was the primary reason that Rams won those games.

Can anyone count on one hand how many games AD was the obvious/primary reason the Rams won close games in the second half or the 4th quarter?

Maybe I have overlooked those games but aside from all his gaudy QB pressure stats and total sacks as an interior lineman (DT), what 5 or 6 games did AD take over when the games were close in the second half?

I will even accept examples in the second half of games where AD made his teammates around him better and that was the reason the Rams won those games etc..

I want to see some...
