Who on earth does, last I checked football was a team game.

I know how to a man the Rams players lauded how important Pace was to their success.

I've never heard that type of praise for a DT of any team.

Seattle has had the best defense in football for 5-6 years running w/o a dominant DT.

Nice to have, but certainly not necessary for success.
