but I'm from Tranquillity... maybe 800 people... and I do not, never did, relate to LA in a 'community' sense.. name-wise YES, I did. When I started rooting for the Rams LA, to me, was as distant as Paris... I had no connection whatsoever. I was 10, cut me some slack.
Rams won in 2000... and as Waterfield likes to point out we won the NFL Championship in 51'... I don't remember it, I was 3... but I take pride in it, and God bless Waterfield for not letting us forget.
NOT saying here that being a "City" or "Geographic" fan is in any way "BAD"... it isn't... part of me envies that ability, (I'll never possess it). So do not take this wrong..
GREAT for St. Louis, GREAT for LA should it happen... but for me:
It's all great. - JamesJM
start a board war?
I traveled from California to STL 5 times to watch games and loved that city and their passionate fans. They were always class acts and made me and feel at home. The Dome will always have a place in my heart.
Jimmy, 6 of my top 10 Rams memories ever were when they were the St Louis Rams.. They STL folks were always class acts and made me feel at home.
1. Superbowl Victory
2/3. Both NFC championship Victories in the Dome
4/5 Both Divisional round playoff Victories in the Dome
6. The 99 blowout win 42-20 over the 49ers in the dome to start the season 4-0
Nothing to do with STL fans on this board or any venue. I'm a Rams Fan first and would root for them if they played their home games in Morocco.
They will always be a part of the Cleveland, Los Angeles, St Louis and Los Angeles again RAMS.
