I was mulling that over today... and the 'moment' that I finally gave #1 surprised me a little.
Note: NOT talking about 'happiest', or 'greatest', or most 'historic', nor necessarily the most 'emotional', although it could be ALL those things... just the moment you physically reacted the most exuberantly.
So many to choose from but for me it was Ferragamo to Waddy vs Dallas 1979 playoff game. How can I choose that over say Bruce's TD in the SB, or Mike Jones's tackle? Well... I'm not picking it OVER those moments... but as far as 'energy spent' the Waddy TD wins.
Bruce's TD in the SB, and Mike Jones's tackle... I collapsed, in the mud. I was standing in a driving rain storm listening on the radio. I couldn't stay home... with my family and guests.
But with Waddy I went whacko... screaming, running, jumping like a madman... then that 'forever' wait for the clock to run out... pleading, begging, running through every superstition I had ever used - I watched the rest of that game burning more energy than all the Boston Marathon runners put together. And when the final gun sounded? Out of the house, at full speed, leaping, screaming. My Dad, Mom, and wife, were across the street in my parent's home... they came outside and watched. I even did a GREAT Curly impersonation... the one were he falls down on the ground, on his side, then proceeds to spin in circles.
That evening I got blisters on my fingers from spinning the dial on my TV to make sure I could watch it again, and again, and again, and again, and again. (no remote control at that time) and ever single time I saw I lost control of my body, which instinctively leaped and ran and contorted.
So gotta say that's my #1, which is yours? - JamesJM
