Billy T, I understand you want to be negative. Good for you. You want to be Debbie Downer because the team has had 13 years of losing, fine.
Maybe you are not capable of seeing things any other way because you are so dissatisfied. I understand that feeling.
But don't scold your brothers and sisters on this board for being positive.
You are welcome to your opinion and hopefully the Rams will give you a reason to change your mind. God knows we are all due.
Personally, I like the pics. No, never heard of Gerald Everett but I understand he did well at the combine and I've seen his highlights and he looks
like a good pass catching TE who has some downfield speed and some moves. Looks like a decent pair of hands too which this team can use in bunches.
Cooper Kupp, well, we've heard about him and his stats and what he has put on tape speaks for itself.
John Johnson has solid work behind him. Starting corner moved over to safety and looks like a ballhawk. Mike Mayock spoke very highly of him last night.
We all understand we didn't have a 1st round pick but I'm not expert enough to say the Rams didn't score well on their picks.
I've lived through the last 13 years just like you have. Linehan (yuk) Spagnuola (yuk), Fisher (double yuk). I hate the way Steven Jackson was wasted on this team. I hated the way Billy Devaney refused to get weapons for Sam Bradford. I hated Fisher's mediocrity and his arrogance.
Tavon Austin is not perfect but the kid has made some plays for this team and he is a weapon.
The receivers in general have never developed because the Rams had poor coaching but Coach McVay sees talent in these guys and he's is better suited for a productive offense then Fisher was as a coach. I like the coaches he has brought with him as well. Real offensive minds. Not some TE coach converted to OC because no real OC wants to coach for Jeff Fisher.
I'm looking at this in a positive light. I like what the Rams did in free agency and I like these 3 picks. Time will tell the tale. Hopefully its a happy ending.
Grits
