Where else can you go and get a positive spin on the machinations of this organization?
The rest of the the NFL continues to laugh at the way the Rams FO operates from a football perspective.
Here's the thing, I for one am not gonna do the ostrich thing with my head in the ground, I see it all too clearly.
Snead is in way over his head. And the problem is, he actually thinks he knows what he's doing. The NFL is full of guys like that. Bill Walsh said it many years ago, there are only about 10 teams that know what they are doing and that makes the draft easier for them. They can always count on guys like Snead to spin around and do idiotic stuff and leave impact players on the board.
But, hey, this was all Fisher's fault, remember? That is, until the Rams fail again and then we can modify the slogan.
Key point about those ten teams. Though I think the number is likely smaller, if you take a longer view. But that's a minor quibble. Regardless, the Rams aren't in that category. Aside from the "no winning record since 2003" part, they already had a horrible drought in the 1990s, and before I started rooting for them in 1967. Perhaps one of the reasons why this gets to me so much is because I grew up seeing them win, field really, really talented teams, make a lot of smart draft choices, etc. etc. And then the drought, broken by Vermeil, and then another even worse drought.
It's just been too many years of futility, and while I'll die a Rams' fan, I'm not going to willingly blind myself to what creates those droughts.
