This is your Les Snead draft. Trade downs and picking leftovers instead of impact players.
No one is gonna convince me that Snead is a competent GM. He's just not.
Poor McVay he's getting the same misguided treatment that other young first time HCs have gotten.
There were good players available when the Rams picked. They could have taken Lamp and Godwin. And this board would have gone wild.
But they take 3 vanilla players who I'm betting are no more than JAGs and I'm told "why the complaints?"
It's pretty simple for me. It's the same incompetent Rams FO. Don't let anyone tell you it's finally changed or some such nonsense. They stink.
And I'm putting it out there, save this post and let's talk about it in 7 months. Let's hear what you super optimists say then.
Would have loved the Rams picking Forrest Lamp, I agree with you there but I heard a scout talking about Cam Robinson and he sounds like DJ Fluker all over again and we know what a bust he was for the Chargers.
Schuster was not taken until what? Late 2nd or in the 3rd by Pittsburgh. Still can be a good player but he was not sought after by many teams.
I don't follow South Alabama so I didn't know about Gerald Everett but I see he did very well at the combines and his tape is outstanding. The dude can play.
Cooper Kupp has been like a media darling and his tape/highlights and what he did against good Pac 12 teams like Washington and Oregon speak for itself
so I feel good about that pick.
John Johnson looks to be at least good added depth in the secondary and a bit of a ballhawk which this team can use. Mayock spoke very highly of him last night on the NFL Network.
You can choose to be negative all you want. I choose to be positive and from what I've seen of these three there is a better then even money chance they will be good players for this team.
Grits
