I too believe that “lifer knuckleheads” can change and to not give up hope.
A year and a half could be enough time for that to happen too if someone hit rock bottom and was truly serious.
However, such a change requires a change in lifestyle and would be obvious to closely connected people. In Gordon’s case, I’d only support signing him after a very thorough vetting.
