Seriously 43?
Giving any consideration whatsoever to the head of the Knucklehead Dept.?
You think Quick and Britt are knuckleheads and you want to consider Gordon?
Gordon isn't what you want on a team that is trying to take the next step. You can't EVER count on him.
If the Rams were even to look at him, it would be the quick end of We not Me. And it renders void everything McVay has said about wanting quality individuals.
Yeah, seriously, Rock.
Are you saying that you wouldn't even do a vigorous background check on Gordon to determine if he's worth consideration?
That's too closed minded for my tastes.
Look, you, of all people, have schooled the board on the low success rates for even 1st round draft picks, much less 2nd, 3rd, and so on. But to risk a 6th or a 7th on a 25 year old former elite WR (one of our desperate need positions, I might add) is too much for you?
How many Pro Bowl caliber players do we have on O, again? Gordon is such a player.
And, with all due respect, the notion that Gordon would destroy the team chemistry if he screws up is just absurd. Not with McVay and the strong work ethic team leadership around the locker room. Not buying that at all.
We don't need 53 choirboys. We need 53 talented football players. Gordon, if squared away, is one very talented football player.
Snead and McVay's job is to get the best possible players that they can acquire on the field on game day. This could be part of that.
They both owe it to the organization to look into Gordon, at the very least.
