TE's

I really think we have some solid WR's..........Thomas, McRoberts...They both "Flashed" last season, but I really think these 2 will make our final roster.
For the TE's......Wilson 6-7 This guy intrigues me......Williams at 6-5 His youtube highlights look impressive.
Any sleepers for you guys...........Remember, this is year 2 for most of these guys......Time to step up.....Who is your guy?
Fascinating topic, oldschool.
Lots of things pop into my head.
First of all, I don't really care all that much about their respective heights within reason. Tavon's 5'8" height is a significant disadvantage, however. Not a big, big fan of smurfs, all other things being equal. But the difference between 5'11" and 6'1"' is negligible, imo.
I see a WR drafted by the end of our 4th round, maybe sooner. He could well become a starter, perhaps not until mid season, but maaaaaybe by opening day. This would push existing roster candidates down.
I agree with 93 in that Tavon could well find himself riding the pine by mid season. In fact, unless these new coaches can work a miracle, I'm kinda predicting it.
I see perhaps 6 WR's making the 53.
Woods
Tavon (mostly because we're stuck with him)
Draft pick
Spruce
Cooper
??? (Depends on who most steps up in training camp and impresses the coaches) could be anyone of the remainders. My ever so slight favorite at this point is McRoberts.
I like Thomas except for his danged hands. Not sure that's coachable.
Fassel will find a ST replacement for Marquez, I believe.
As to the TE's...
I foresee a very high TE draft pick. Perhaps even at #37 (Engram). If so, he's the starter, although there will be tons of snaps for Higbee in 2 TE sets, not to mention the occasional 3 TE sets that McVay loves.
Barring a TE pick at #37, I like Higbee to have the step up year at TE. I continue to believe that Higbee can be a real weapon in this McVay O.
Great thread topic, man.
