I hate being the Kupp negative Nellie because I'm honestly a big fan of him...in his role as a slot WR.
No one talks about him vs press coverage. Why? Because he is protected from it based on his teams scheme and almost exclusive use in the slot. Watch him on 90+% of his catches...free release and simply runs to a spot. Defender never even breathes in his direction. I have never seen him face physical COLLEGE play and I'm supposed to just assume he makes the huge jump to NFL physical play without issue? I think he will adjust...to smaller slot corners, bigger physical outside CBs will be another story.
How are people projecting a college slot WR from a spread scheme to an NFL outside receiver in a pro style offense?
