DRAFT COUNTDOWN - NO. 3 GREG ROBINSON
Posted May 8, 2014

““This guy has some football intelligence and awareness issues that do not allow him to be the player that Jake Matthews is.” – Sirius NFL Radio and Ross Tucker Football Podcast host and former NFL offensive lineman Ross Tucker.
This jives as well:

Tucker said if the Rams had picked Matthews everything would be fine on the OL. GRob was a much bigger risk and you just can't miss on the 2nd player in the draft. He did say GRob has great talent but it needs to get switched on between his ears. He cited Jason Peters as an guy he watched go from a mess to great in 2 years. So it may still happen. But if it doesn't it is a HUGE fail by the Rams. And a fail that they needn't have exposed themselves to if they had taken Matthews.
On football guys podcast where he was a guest with Cecil Lammey and Sigmund Bloom he said that both guys will be football players. His preference is Jake due to him being an intelligent guy. Cecil jabbed at him because apparently Ross went to an Ivy league school and wears cut off jean shorts like him. His response was that Jake is safe due to his floor while Greg has a chance to be a guy that forces his way into your house, goes in your fridge and takes your "Daddy soda". He said it's a matter of preference. Now he plays revisionist history and accentuates the negatives that he posted (which was 100% risk based) and eliminates the hedge.
