That was incriminating as heck to your case!! lol
Yeah he has had better years, which is my point. In fact to use your language, my CASE is that he has had better years.
And btw his percentages of drops even in 2015 were not as bad as some guys who have a bigger reputation than him, such as Edelman.
Meanwhile he also led the team in catch percentage several consecutive years.
I think the sneering at Kendricks is off base. It's selective. Like I said he's a very good role player and if he returns to his previous form he will be fine.
...
He get's a lot of easy receptions being a tight end. Even more being a Ram TE. Using guys like Edleman who is expected to catch the ball in stride and make a quick move while catching the ball as an example is not an academic formula.
Yet I remember seeing him in games, and that's not true. Edelman btw has a worse drop percentage than LK's worst in his career which is 2016. Oh and the vast majority of passes to LK are in stride. It's in the games. It's right there to see.
There are several games where he has clutch receptions. And he was always a very good weapon on play action. But I know, bad memories wipe that out.
People are way over the top denigrating him. In doing so they often indicate to me anyway that they don't even know who he is and what he does.
As I said, like many Rams, he had a bad 2016, and this results in him being a whipping boy as if he were always bad like he was in 2016.
But from watching him, and from not getting into the "some bad memories interfere with overall assessment" syndrome, I know what we actually saw---a solid, effective role player who caught his share and (before 2016 anyway) was also an effective run and pass blocking H-back type.
I think most people who are down on him make the mistake of trying to compare him to receiving TEs, when that was never what he was.
Like I said a lot of Rams had bad seasons in 2016. That doesn't mean there should be only one rigorously enforced opinion of guys like Kendricks, or warfare over the fact that someone says naw he was better before.
