Well one or the other, Fisher or Snead, are gone, and possibly both. Unless they fix the relationships (which is not impossible). Fisher could stay with a new coordinator, I think.

BUT right now we don't know which it will be. I don't even know which is more likely.

Doesn't matter to me, honestly. No matter who the coach is, their fate depends on how advanced Goff is next year. I thought most of the complaints about Fisher just plain ignored the qb situation. But then a new coach might be fine, if they don't feel compelled to "rebuild" (and my view is that there is no need for that...this team needs talent here and there, like at DE, but its fate depends upon Goff and the rapidity of his development).

Should Fisher stay the Rams absolutely positively MUST make him hire an innovative and aggressive OC.
A very similar Situation like the one back before 99 with Vermeil in that regard.
A Fisher-Williams-Martz (for example) Coaching staff would be really interesting to see.

Well it's fine but we don't agree, really.

To me you NEVER make a coach hire a coordinator you have in mind. That's never good management. And for the record, no that is not what Shaw did in 99.

ANd there is absolutely nothing wrong with the offensive PHILOSOPHY. I don't think "more aggressive" means anything---it's just one possible philosophy among others than can work, but then why would you force a coach to do something other than what he wants? That again is bad management.

I don't, won't, and never will buy the idea that the "problem" was "philosophy." Every year there are teams that thrive with the Rams approach---run, ball control passing, set up and take shots. The problem was NEVER the philosophy, it was always a combination of personnel and execution (including injuries under "personnel" ).

You can always count on this from me: I never buy the idea that there's just one offensive approach that wins. Many different offensive approaches win, if they have the personnel and execute.

Look at Dallas. Do you think they're winning because they are "aggressive" passing the ball? No way. They are 31st in passing attempts and 1st in rushing attempts. If anything Dallas is FAR more conservative than Fisher usually is.

So again no big deal but actually no we disagree.
