Maybe there's another area of concern with Goff can only be talked about in hushed conjecture.
Based on barely remembered notes on Goff he he may have a real problem adding weight. Or building his body up enough for the coaching staff to be comfortable he can withstand the big hit from a 300LB NFL lineman.
He was lucky to survive a few solid shots in preseason and had a injured left shoulder in the Dallas game as well as bruised tailbone after a Denver LB rocked his chest.
Think about that last thing,
It means those sinews and bones of Goff have basically no cushion for those hits at all.
He feels everything and if his processing is slow at all he is a high injury risk.
He may even be targeted by the enemy for that same reason and subjected to late hits.
I really would be protective of him until he is Marino like in his release because of his frame and the OL issues.
He's going to play but they need Reggie figuring out what can be done to build this kid up to withstand against injury.
Movement in pocket skills will be tested when he gets his turn but I'd rather see him just throw the ball away. Or for the hitches and screen game to get fixed.
I'm worried he's the eternal Ickebod Crane though.
Hope not.
