Joyner played 730 defensive snaps in 2015, 63% of the total. 8th most on the team and ahead of players like Brockers and Hayes. You would think it would be obvious to the kid but he's looking at the depth chart more than the reality of how they play defense. He's among the starting 11. The nickel CB plays much more than the 3rd LB. He plays inside because he's the best they have at that role. He's valuable. He's a starter. Sometimes you just have to hear that you're valued from your boss even if you should be able to infer it day to day.
