Cooper is not a Tavon clone and he made a great catch the other night in Denver. Nelson Spruce has great hands. He's been out the last two games because of a sprung knee. Personally, I think Spruce has shown the coaches enough in the Dallas game and in practice that like Gurley they are protecting him. My prediction is Spruce will be on the final 53 and on game day 46.
You are forgetting about Tyler Higbee as well. Higbee is going to be huge in this offense and he had great hands.
Guys who have played the last two weeks at receiver are those who the coaches feel need to prove something. Spruce and Higbee do not need to prove anything and the coaches are protecting them for the regular season.
EJ Gaines needs to stay healthy. He will be the starter opposite TruJo at corner. It appears Cody Davis may be the free safety.
10 to 11 wins is what I see for this team.
