Fisher has only been coach since 2012. The team was a hot mess when he took over. The roster needed a make over and was essentially an expansion team.
Fisher and Snead have added good talent to this roster.
The two big drawbacks which have kept the Rams from the playoffs was they were very unlucky at the QB position and their receivers for the most part sucked.
Both Fisher and Snead have done their best to address that problem this off season. They will continue to work the receivers issue until we are all satisfied we finally have a group who can catch the football.
The defense took some hits this off season. Losing Jenkins and McCleod didn't help anything. Losing Lauranitis and Long was predictable as they were sub-par performers.
Right now the biggest issue on defense is the secondary. It is what it is.
As for QB I think Keenum finally gives the Rams a productive player who can provide stability. We saw that last season in the 4 games he played late in the season. Gurley in his second year should be even better and the offensive line is much improved.
If they get consistent performance from the receivers in catching the damn ball this should be a decent offense.
We'll know more after September but I think this is a 10 to 11 win team.
