I try hard to be honest and fair with my observations, though I usually lean toward the optimistic side.
I have huge questions about the coaching on offense. I fear that Goff is getting poorly coached.
And I think the receivers are just so bad, partly due to talent partly due to coaching probably, but they are bad.
But GRob has looked great to me in the PS. I think that is common knowledge to any unbiased observer. Barnes has looked great at OC, too. Overall, I see a much improved OL and I'll be unpleasantly surprised if they aren't any good this year.
I don't know if the CBs and DBs as a whole are subpar, but they do play off the WRs a lot and just give up slant routes like candy. Contrast that with the Broncos DBs who contest every ball. Our WRs must be shocked when they see that in a game after going against our defensive scheme in practice and all of TC.
Honestly, I expect the Rams to have one of the worst passing games again this year and that is inexcusable in my book. The running game will be strong, and the front 7 looks great, but I'm not sure that's enough to avoid another losing season cause there are serious issues everywhere else. Personally, I think the coaching is pedestrian at best.
I also expect 7-9 at best, and I just hope that gets Fisher fired.
