I said in a post earlier that he has been a disappointment through three games. There is no sugar coating it. He was 4 of 12 last night. Uhhhh that ain't good. He left the game hurt again. That aint good. He looked indecisive and nearly threw 2 ints into coverage. Yes he had drops that weren't on him and good God 63 nearly got he and Manion killed but Goff did not look ready. There is no sugar coating it.
Now if people don't want to get alarmed. Fine... But I am concerned for sure. Because he was supposed to be the best QB coming out and he doesn't look anything remotely close to it.
People are blasting Keenum. People better hope Keenum works out and can hold down the fort and just be OK. Because Goff is clearly not even an OK option right now.

If Goff is really so far away that not even an organization that literally risked everything on him can see their way to putting his name on the marquee over (and this is the critically important part here) Case Keenum's in their prime time return to LA against their arch rival, what does it truly say about the wisdom of risking everything on this guy in the first place?
If Goff was really the transcendent talent worthy of what they gave up to get him, you should expect him to be doing the kinds of things those players do. Like Russell Wilson, for example, did when he forced his way into starting game one as a rookie over Matt Flynn and Tarvaris Jackson. At least like Winston and Mariota did last year in overcoming similarly weak competition.
If it's true that Goff is still not close to winning the job, that's disturbing news indeed. Shouldn't be dismissed so cavalierly as "everything is fine because we've seen some things we like." That's mostly just confirmation bias at work. There's no escaping a reality that the regime that put it all on the line for him still thinks Case Keenum is their best QB four months, a training camp and three preseason games later.
