I agree with that.
You no doubt recall Boudreau complaining about not being able to coach GR. And this is happening throughout the league. Young linemen who played in spread offenses come in to the league and are behind, and yet the coaches can't spend the time with them.
Nowadays it's rare if a 1st round OT plays well as a rookie, and most haven't even caught up in year 2.
Back in 97, when the Rams took Pace, there were 4 OTs taken in the 1st round, and they all played well as rookies. Pace, Jones, Glenn, and Verba.
The days when FOUR 1st round OTs all play well as rookies is long, long since over.
Not telling you anything you didn't know...just putting in my 2 cents.
