I know this is our Rams' board but since I'm a Rams' fan and I live in the Detroit area and I've always liked Goff I thought I'd share my thoughts on him and his Det. experience.
1) Getting Stafford was the best move for the Rams. As much as I like Goff, he ain't no Stafford.
2) Goff has looked ok so far but nothing exceptional. Last year they brought in a offensive play caller type coach who is trying to call plays within Goff's ability and that seems to have helped him quite a bit.
3) Goff is still Goff. As much as I hate to say it he does seem to not deal with pressure all that well and he needs a supporting cast around him to help him be successful. Fortunately he has a very good OLine and running game and that has helped take the pressure off.
4) The Lion's head coach is not great head coaching material. That was obvious from day one. I'm sure he could be a good assistant coach of some type but he is making the same time management mistakes and occasional poor play calling like he did last year. I like the guy but I wouldn't want him as head coach of the Rams.
Most everybody thinks the Lions will win anywhere from 7 to 9 games this year. I think they'll do at least that good and maybe a little better.
