He could platoon with Matthews and Obo - neither is good against the run (is that my perception or reality). Ebukam is better against the run and can pass rush a little, I think.
The new D coordinator might be more open to other ways to create pressure based on scheme / blitz than Wade was.
For all the hand-wringing about defensive players lost - it's not like we had an elite defense last year. We were gashed in multiple games and in a division with San Fran and Seattle we better be able to stop the run
