The contingency plan isn't in place for unpleasant conditions. It is in place for unsafe conditions.
AQI values between 201 and 300 trigger a health alert, meaning everyone may experience more serious health effects. Hazardous. AQI values over 300 trigger health warnings of emergency conditions. The entire population is even more likely to be affected by serious health effects. [

An air quality of 300 qualifies as an unsafe condition. We're not talking about 'smelling smoke' - we're talking about breathing air that is so toxic that it will negatively affect one's health, possibly permanently. And if that's the reading at game time then the game will be moved. It's as simple as that.
People are asking 'what do we do if the AQI is 300 at game time?' Saying 'Don't worry, that isn't going to happen' doesn't answer the question, even if there's a 99.9% chance that it isn't going to happen.
That said, I doubt that the AQI will be anywhere near 300 at game time for the reasons you've stated. So yes, I fully expect the game to be played at SoFi Monday night.
